Winterization Service
We offer this service each fall, starting around the middle of September and plan to have everyone completed by the end of October.
All of our clients who sign up for our service contracts will have this scheduled automatically once you advise us when the water will be off.
Service Contract Deadlines
Please remember, one of the conditions of your service contract is that you will have the water turned off by the following dates:
Value contract: September 15
Premium Contract: October 1
When can we close your system!
We only close sprinkler systems during the months of September, October, and (weather depending) November.
To properly schedule the hundreds of systems we need to empty, we need to know by October 1st when the system will be ready to be emptied. This is to ensure we are able to schedule everyone by the end of October when freezing damage is likely to start occurring. After October 1st, additional fees will apply and we cannot guaranty the service will be performed by October 31.
Important Dates
The pricing you pay for your closing service is somewhat dependant on when you turn off your water and advise us. You will pay the lowest price for your closing the more time we have to schedule and complete the work.

Summary
How our sprinkler closing process works:
Step 1: Tell us your water-off date. We cannot add you to our planning calendar until you notify us when your water will be turned off.
Step 2: Neighborhood grouping. Your actual appointment will most likely be scheduled after your water is off so we can efficiently service your neighborhood all at once.
Step 3: Locked-in pricing. Your service fee is calculated based on the date you notify us the water will be off, not the day our team physically completes the closing.
Remember to turn the water OFF
Please make sure your water is completely turned off by the date you give us.
We treat the date you give us as inclusive. If you have told us the water will be off by October 1, we may plan your service on October 1.
If our team arrives and the water is still on, we won’t be able to finish the closing and will have to add a return-visit fee to cover the extra trip.
Freezing Damage
We want to make sure homeowners are aware of the consequences of improper drainage of sprinkler systems.
Besides the immediate and obvious effects that freezing water has on the sprinklers and valves, the damage to pipes is less obvious. Over the years, if you do not remove enough of the water, the effects of repeated water expansion inside the pipes can weaken those pipes and lead to failure. If your system contains any PVC pipe, there is no question; improper drainage will almost certainly result in immediate damage.
Should you do it yourself?
While we always try to educate our clients on how to take care of their own systems, we do not recommend performing this yourself unless you plan on using a very large compressor. Worst case scenario, your system can be completely destroyed come spring time. Best case scenario, you will do long term damage to the system and reduce its life.
